The Arts Council organizes engaging cultural events to promote community interest, involvement and education in the arts.

 

Past events sponsored by the Arts Council include literacy and photography contests, an Art Show, community concerts, children's theatre productions and our growing community theatre productions.  Past shows include “Fiddler on the Roof”, “The Wizard of Oz”, “Cinderella”, “The Music Man”, “Shrek, the Musical”, “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers” and “Annie”.

Many events are held at the Cottonwood Heights theater located at 7530 S 2700 E. The theatre is located on the campus of Butler Middle school and events are not associated with the school.

COme & 'light the night' nov. 27


Light the NightIt's a new holiday tradition at City Hall. 

The Arts Council is sponsoring a Christmas Boutique on Nov. 27 from 5 to 6:45 p.m.

The boutique will be held in correlation with the city's Light the Night event where families can start their holiday season off with a little shopping, a visit with Santa and taking part in the lighting of the city's Christmas tree.

Joshua creek headlines Holiday Concert Dec. 16

Joshua Creek“A Country Christmas,” featuring the award-winning music of Joshua Creek will be held Dec. 16 at 7:30 p.m. Joshua Creek is an Americana-Folk-Rock band that combines lyrical story songs with soaring lead vocals and three-part harmonies. The band features original songs and stories about faith, family and fun.

It will be a memorable evening for the entire family. The concert will be held at the Cottonwood Heights Theater located at 7530 S. 2700 East (Butler Middle School) in Cottonwood Heights.

Tickets are $10 online  (CLICK HERE FOR TICKET LINK) or are $12 at the door the night of the event.
