BCC Marathon 2019

Posted on 09/09/2019

Cottonwood Heights welcomes the Revel Big Cottonwood Canyon Marathon and Half Marathon to our city. This is the seventh year that Cottonwood Heights has hosted this popular event that draws participants from around Utah and the country.

The race will start early in the morning on Saturday, Sept. 14. We invite all to come out to support the runners and cheer them on to the finish line.

To accommodate this large event, no one will be allowed to cross Fort Union Boulevard from the mouth of Big Cottonwood Canyon all the way to Union Park Avenue. Some traffic will be allowed east and west along Fort Union Boulevard, but no traffic or pedestrians will be allowed to cross north or south along the race route until it is finished. We repeat, you will not be able to cross Fort Union Boulevard during the race.

Wasatch Boulevard will be closed between Fort Union Boulevard and 4500 South during the race. See map for race route details (below).

Please plan ahead and add extra travel time to your schedule.

The city appreciates your patience as we host several thousand visitors to our city.

More race information will be available through our Facebook and Twitter channels.
