CHPD Officers Go the Extra Mile to Help

When CHPD Officers Joey Incardine and Kevin Salmon responded to a trespassing call in early December, they found a homeless woman who had spent several hours inside a local diner.

They also discovered the woman had been paying small amounts for drinks in order to stay inside the warm building and out of the cold.

Instead of running her out of the restaurant, the officers decided to pool their own money to pay for two nights at a motel for the woman. They also provided resources for further homeless assistance.

They tried to keep their act secret, but Police Chief Robby Russo found out and the local media was alerted.

Thanks to Officers Incardine and Salmon for going above and beyond the call of duty.
