CH Residents Launch Project S.A.F.E.
Posted on 04/02/2019

CH residents Kathie and Jim Hawkins have adopted April 12 as an annual special day to give back to their community. This year they are spearheading Project S.A.F.E (Stuffed Animals For Emergencies) in conjunction with the Cottonwood Heights Police Department, in an effort to gather Teddy bears/stuffed animals for children who experience fear or trauma during police activities.

The Hawkinses and CHPD are asking for donations of NEW, small or medium-sized stuffed animals to be given to first responders to comfort children during scary or tragic circumstances.

Donations will be accepted at any time at the Hawkins home (1430 E. 7200 South) before April 12. The donations will be delivered to CHPD Chief Robby Russo.

Anyone who wishes to make a monetary donation for the purchase of stuffed toys may do so through Venmo@Kathie-Hawkins.
