New Pool Coming to Rec. Center

New Pool Coming to Rec. Center

You may have noticed some construction going on at the Cottonwood Heights Recreation Center. It’s a pretty big change.

Thanks to multiple funding sources, including partnerships with the City of Cottonwood Heights, Salt Lake County Parks and Recreation and the General Obligation Bond, after 40 years, residents are finally getting a new High Adventure Pool.

CHRC worked closely with Valley Design & Construction about their vision, and together were able to put a new face to an old favorite. Along with lap swimming, competitions and water aerobics, a rock facade will encompass 1 and 3 meter springboards as well as 5 and 7 meter platforms.

While some may be sad to see the old platforms go, CHRC made sure there is something for everyone. Their newest addition is expected to open mid-summer 2018.
