The Cottonwood Heights Arts Council is hosting its annual art display, “Works of Mixed Media by Local Artists,” from September 1 to 30 at Whitmore Library. The eighteen participants are excited to display their work and to get to know some of their fellow artists. The show features landscapes, portraits, still life, and contemporary art in oil, acrylic, watercolor, giclee, and other media.

The display can be seen at the Whitmore Library on 2197 Fort Union Blvd.

Two artists are only 14 years old and others were veterans, but each have the courage to share their talents with our community. They also gathered at a Meet and Greet on September 18 to discuss their works and share their love of art.

Members of the community were amazed at the quality and variety of pieces displayed. The Arts Council thanks Whitmore Library and its staff for being such wonderful partners in this event by providing the gallery space and helping with the display. We look forward to continuing this tradition and hope to see even more interested artists next year.
